As of PSO2 Meseta yesterday though, the game is now available on Steam, complete with tons of Valve-themed content such as Gordon Freeman's iconic HEV Suit. Players who have sunk tens of thousands of hours into the Microsoft version of Phantasy Star Online 2 but wish to switch to the Steam version do not have to worry though. Sega has included an easy to follow system to connect accounts and keep progressing on whatever platform gamers prefer.
The most significant part this process is that players cannot have a character on the new Phantasy Star account they're linking to. Once a character is made or a PlayerID is set up on a new stage, players will not be able to link their accounts afterward. Bearing this in mind, here is the way players can link their Xbox and Microsoft accounts for their new Steam account.
For gamers wanting to link their Xbox One or Windows accounts to the Steam version of the game, they will first need to start the account they began on. From there, select the Support Menu found on the Start Menu, then pick the option allowing for an account hyperlink code to be issued. Ultimately, gamers will need to launch the Steam version of Phantasy Star Online 2, accessibility their Ship, and input the account hyperlink code given in the previous step. If followed properly, players should now be able to continue playing as their PSO2 character on Steam. This same procedure could be followed to connect the Steam version to the Xbox One or Windows versions of this game as well, with players following the same steps as before only starting with Steam.
It's no secret that Phantasy Star Online 2 was plagued with technical problems when it first launched on PC, leaving several players with a bad taste in their mouths. However, it seems that players are enjoying this brand new version of the sport, and is perhaps setting the stage for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis for a blockbuster expansion when it releases next year. There is a new story, upgraded attributes and even a new course to enjoy. Episode 5 looks like a significant departure from Episode 4, as there are tons of new things to encounter along with a new, high level cap of 90 to achieve. Here's what to get excited about in PSO2 Episode 5, and why to return if you were tired of fighting a boat.
Unlike regular courses, there are prerequisites to unlock Scions, plus they tend to play otherwise. To play Hero, you should have some two level 75 classes before speaking to Cofy to unlock it. It can't be used as a Sub Course nor have one, therefore playing with it means only using Hero. It does have quite an arsenal, even however, being able to use Swords, Twin Machine Guns and Talis effectively. You can stick to one of those weapons of your choice, but the Class excels when combining all three into devastating combos. Since its a brand new course, there'll also be a brand new Hero character that will give you a hand and pso2 sales give you fresh quests to practice with.
