Nike’s most sustainably-minded performance shoe to date.
Following Nike Basketball’s Cosmic Unity, Nike Running
designers were driven by a core belief within the Move to

zero waste - that a product that makes the world better
can also make an athlete better. Cosmic Unity set the bar
with 25 percent total recycled content by weight; the

performance. Doing so with the crown jewel of racing
footwear was an important symbolic choice.

collaborations, but it continues carving out its own path
with handfuls of compelling styles. For its latest
proposition, the modernized vintage Nike Running design
has been redone in a medley of autumn-appropriate colors.
Akin to other recently-surfaced options from Nike
Sportswear, the newly-launched pair features recycled
materials across its upper and sole unit. The latter
component indulges in Nike Grind, which is created from
scraps from the brand’s manufacturing processes. Top-
halves on the shoe forgot their standard ultra-breathable
build in favor of one much more suited for the cold
weather. “Rattan” takes over the Waffle One‘s quilted
nylon base while “Brown Kelp” deliver contrasting flair
via suede overlays around the toe, along the tongue and
at the heel. The tongues’ underside and sock-liner both
boast furry fleece construction, which will ensure toes
stay toasty throughout autumn and winter.

Dressed in a Pure Platinum, Hyper Royal, Smoke, and
Summit White color scheme. This latest offering of the

plus black and white comes dressed Grey hues
highlighted with bold Blue contrasting accents
throughout. It features a Flyknit build and traditional
lacing system differing from last year’s model. Other
details includes the “Move to Zero” logo printed on the
insoles with recycled Nike Grind materials applied on the
clear VaporMax outsole completes the design.

Though Off-White and Nike often come together to meld
ideas, the two are equally guilty of borrowing one
another’s. The

Virgil Abloh’s existing concepts. Here, this colorway -
which is comprised primarily of neutrals - makes this
much more obvious. The iconic nature of the silhouette
itself is put on display, dissected, and then
reconstructed with bold modifications. For starters, the
blacked out Swoosh is amplified in size, complementing
the equally enlarged “NIKE” logo that dresses the heel.
Adjacent, the tongue’s own branding follows suit in
match of its over-filled foam. And while much more
subtle, the construction itself also bears its own
tweaks, proffering both paneling and both pronounced as
well as contrasted stitching."
